Big-way skydiveNovember Big-Ways Are Coming Up!

Time flies when you're having fun... the November big-way events are almost here! Here's what will be going on at Spaceland in early November:

Event 1: Big-Way Camp, Nov. 1-2: This camp is for everyone who has thought about participating in big-way formation skydiving, skydivers who would like to get invited to big-way events, skydivers wanting to learn more about big-ways, or those who just want to brush up on their big-way skills.
More information on the event, costs, requirements, registration, etc...

Event 2: Texas 44s/Top Talent Sequential RW Invitational, Nov. 3-4: This invitational is for experienced big-way and competition jumpers only, and space is very limited. Some of the jumpers who attend the November big-way camp and receive a captain's recommendation may be invited to participate in the Top Talent Sequential Invitational.
More information on the event, costs, requirements, registration, etc...

Spectating: Everyone is invited to come out and watch these challenging dives take place. Watch the dirt dives and see how they actually build the points; there will be lots of talented skydivers and lots of photo opportunities at Spaceland this weekend!

Organizing All Weekend: Last but not least, Scott Latinis will be organizing all weekend--for the campers (Thursday and Friday) and for anyone else who wants to come out and get some good dives in while the 44s are going on during the weekend.

Flight instructor and student pilotSpaceland Flight School Website Launched

We've been talking about the flight school for awhile; now you can check out pricing, scheduling, aircraft information/photos, and more at www.skydivespaceland.com/flight-school! There's also a forum where you can discuss flight experiences and/or ask questions. Chief Instructor Matt Wampler moderates the forum and will be happy to discuss flying with you!

Skydive Spaceland Online Forums Now Open!

Several of you have asked for it, and now it's here--an online forum where Skydive Spaceland jumpers and friends can share stories, post photos, ask questions, buy/sell stuff, share rides, set up and vote on polls... whatever! Anyone can read the forums, but you'll need to register in order to post. Check it out at http://www.skygirlmedia.com/phpBB2/.

Today's hot topic: How would you upgrade Spaceland for Nationals (in 2009)?

Swooping the pond

Swoop Training Weekend Oct. 27-28 with "Aggie Dave" Lund

Interested in learning to swoop, or perfecting your approach? Don't miss this opportunity for swoop coaching! This is an introductory class into swooping along with helping swoopers prepare for competition, be it ramping up for the USPA Nationals at Spaceland in 2009 or getting ready to compete in the CPC (canopy piloting competition).

Requirements:

Participants must have at least 200 jumps and have already learned the fundamentals of canopy patterns. Anyone who meets the requirements and wants to have fun and learn is welcome! The goal of the class is to teach jumpers how to swoop safely, have fun and learn. Education is the key.

More information: Contact Aggie Dave at aggiedave@skydiveaggieland.com.
