to experience levels. The intermediate dive pool will be used for the
event. Special care will be taken to make sure that the teams are as
even as possible. The meet will consist of 4 rounds and will be judged
by USPA sanctioned judge, Tom Jenkins.

SAFETY
DAY
MARCH 14TH
Safety Day was an idea proposed by Patti Chernis to USPA’s Board
of Directors late in 1996 to get skydivers to set aside one day each
year specifically to concentrate on making themselves and their drop
zones safer. Safety Day should serve as more than a refresher of the
basics. Skydiving is always changing, and new techniques, equipment,
disciplines and training methods are always emerging. Regardless of
whether you are a new student or a seasoned veteran, there’s always
something new on the horizon. In some ways, each of us are students
in the sport long after earning our A license. Safety Day should
provide us with opportunities to learn something new, remember
something we might have forgotten and stay up to speed with the
basics.
TEXAS
STATE RECORD / CASA BOOGIE
APRIL 22-26TH
The TSR is only 2 months away and we'll be building a new Texas
State Record 160 way and also a new World Record! Our fleet of aircraft is
huge including a CASA and 6 Twin Otters. The record participants are
already selected but we will have plenty of organizers to
accommodate your flying style. Come out and jump the CASA or even
the helicopter. This is going to be a boogie atmosphere with records
going on as well. We are having a huge party on Sat. night with a
Band, Beer and the Anvil's famous BBQ!
Stacy Curry is building a
team of volunteers, and we need your help. So if you're interested in being
a part of this event, please email
staceylcurry@gmail.com.
More details will be coming soon about the
boogie. Large items have been jumped out of the back of the
CASA...!
