Texas Skydiving League Meet #1 THIS SATURDAY: Register now!

Hope you can join us for some competitive 4-way fun this weekend for the first 2010 Texas Skydiving League 4-way meet! Save time on Saturday by registering online beforehand at www.texasskydivingleague.org. The draw will be posted on Friday evening at www.texasskydivingleague.org. Helicopter Jumps Sunday April 4th!!!

We've got a R-44 helicopter scheduled to come out and fly jumpers this season. Stay tuned to www.skydivespaceland.com and Facebook for exact dates. So far next Sunday April 4th is the day to be here. We have a manifest sheet so call 281-369-3337. It carries up to three jumpers and the pilot. Sign up today.

Weekday Jumps: Norwegian Invasion

Are you craving some weekday jumping? We've got around 40 visiting Norwegian jumpers who will be calling Spaceland home. They arrived yesterday so weather permitting, the plane will be flying all day, every day from March 27-April 11, so come on out and play!

High-Altitude Jumps April 1 (Next Thursday)

Ready for some extra freefall? Call manifest at 281-369-3337 to put your name on the list for high-altitude skydiving! We're planning to run several loads from 18,000 feet if we have enough interest, so let us know ASAP if you'd like to play!

Scrambles Update

Everyone loves a mix-and-match 4-way team, right? We all did here last weekend; scrambles was a BLAST for all of us here at Spaceland and for the 10 teams that competed! And we noticed that everyone's getting better--it was a close race this year for several places, with several lead changes. And the winners are:

Third Annual Airborne Amputee Event: April 17

Last year's Airborne Amputee event was a big success, and we're looking forward to an even better time this year! We'll have live music, raffle prizes, a spaghetti-eating contest, activities for the kids, and more! This is a great event not only for the skydivers to enjoy the freedom of the sky, but also for the rest of us to show our support for those who have been wounded while protecting our country.

Old Farts Fest April 17-18: Jump with the Pioneers!

On April 17th and 18th, Texas skydiving pioneers, members of the former Valley Mills Ten Man Team, Hot Justice Ten Man Team, and Kaleidoscope 8-way team will gather at Spaceland with friends, pilots, and others, to jump, have lunch, learn about new trends in skydiving, and meet friends, old and new. Bigway Tuneup with Guy Wright: April 22-25

The tune-up is designed to allow the experienced player a chance to "knock the rust off" and pick up some of the latest big-way tips. It will also be a refresher for the newer up and coming player that may be looking to attend future events in 2010. Jumpers with exceptional performance during the Tune-Up may receive invitations to Texas Team Elite III, May 15-16 at Skydive Spaceland. More information...

Night Jumps April 24 (Sat.)

Are you ready to howl at the moon? Bring your glowsticks, lighted altimeters, and night vision goggles (just kidding :) on April 24 for night jumps! You know you need to log two night jumps to qualify for a D license, right? Make sure to bring your logbook and B license (or higher).

Texas Team Elite Sequential Invitationals May 15-16

You know how we like to do things big in Texas... It's about time for some big(ish) way sequential! The Texas Team Elite events will be 40- to 60-way sequential events held May 15-16; jumps will be from 17,500 feet with oxygen.
